The classic sliding-block traffic jam puzzle is now available for real Apple IIe-compatible computers, as well as directly in your browser (desktop and mobile).
Click and drag vehicles to clear a path for the golden car to reach the exit on the right. You can play the game using your beloved mouse gear on the real 8-bit machine, or begin right away here in the browser on any desktop or mobile device.
Work through a hundred of stages, ranging from Easy to Expert difficulty. Beat your best-move high scores and aim for a perfect clear. Progress is saved to the virtual disk as you play, so you can resume where you left off later.
Based on Nob Yoshigahara’s idea (1970).
Apple IIe edition by Noncho Savov (2025-2026)
With level data from Michael Fogleman’s research paper (2018).
Runs in-browser via Apple // Web - an emulator adaptation by Noncho Savov, built on top of Will Scullin’s apple2js. Read more in the blog post (coming soon).
On the real machine
press
M at startup to open Settings. With a configured Uthernet II card, you can download additional level packs over the network.
Because the game utilizes DHGR title images, on a machine with 64 KB of memory (without DHGR support) you must press a key to skip loading them at startup.
This game is a demo - a couple of features are yet to be developed (including FujiNet support).
Some improvements are planned as well, such as keyboard controls, music and sound.
Current version is 0.9.32
